Rolfing® is a holistic physical therapy. It treats the body as a whole in the relationship with gravity and aims to re-aline the client's physical body as good as possible. A Rolfer™ applies gentle and deep touch that address the fascia (connective tissue). Rolfing® is a wonderful method that aims for sustainable change. It is recognized by health insurance companies in the complementary medicine field.

Where does the term Rolfing® come from?

Rolfing® was named after biochemist Dr. Ida Rolf. She developed Rolfing® Structural Integration in the 1950ties. Ida Rolf was inspired by Homeopathy Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Yoga, Alexandertechnique and Korzybski's work on states of consciousness.
